Adding a second profile

Profiles and data

A profile is an isolated set of data: its own wallets, categories, limits and history. Nothing crosses between profiles, so a second one is the right tool when two kinds of money should not be mixed, for example personal spending and a small business.

Step by step

1. Open Settings. The gear icon in the tab bar at the bottom.

2. Find Profiles. The section lists the current profile and everything you have created.

3. Create a new profile and name it. Give it a name you will recognise in a hurry, “Business” or “Family”.

4. Switch between profiles from the dashboard. The round button in the top left corner carries the first letter of the current profile. Tap it to switch.

What a profile does not do

A profile is not a shared account for two people. Both of you signing in with the same account see the same data, which is how a household budget works today; a separate login for a second person with their own access does not exist yet.

Frequently asked questions

Do reports mix profiles?

No. Every figure, report and limit belongs to the profile you are in. That is the whole point of the separation.

Can each profile have its own currency?

Yes. The main currency is set per profile, so a business in dollars and personal spending in euros coexist without conversion errors.

How many profiles are free?

The first profile is free. Additional ones come with the subscription.

What happens to the data if I delete a profile?

Everything inside it goes: wallets, categories and history. Export what you need to CSV first, from Settings.
