Moving money between wallets

How to use it

Taking cash out of a card, topping up a savings account or paying a card off does not change how much money you have. It moves between your own wallets, and the app has a separate operation for that so the month is not distorted.

Step by step

1. Press and hold the wallet the money leaves. For example “Card”.

2. Drag it onto the wallet the money arrives on. Release it on “Cash” or “Savings”. Both sides are now set.

3. Type the amount and save. One balance falls, the other rises, and the month totals stay untouched.

Why this matters

If a withdrawal is recorded as an expense, the month shows spending that never happened, and the same money gets counted a second time when you actually spend the cash. A transfer avoids the double count: the money is simply somewhere else.

Different currencies

If the wallets are in different currencies, the app converts at the current rate as you enter the transfer, so both balances stay correct in their own currency and the totals stay correct in your main one.

Frequently asked questions

Is a card payment towards a loan a transfer?

Only if the loan is tracked as a wallet in the app. Otherwise it is an expense, because the money leaves your budget.

Does a transfer appear in reports?

It appears in History but not in the spending structure, which is the point: reports answer where money was spent, and a transfer is not spending.

Can I transfer to a savings goal?

Yes, if the savings sit in a wallet. Move money into it as a transfer and the goal grows without the month showing an expense.

What if I made a mistake in the direction?

Open History, tap the entry and edit it. Both wallets are recalculated straight away.
